SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regard to the higher variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on here a daily basis. The company issue established for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the servicing of all buyers and increase entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
